Golden or Blue Hour
Some of the best bride & groom portraits are made at golden hour, when the land is wrapped in an incredible warm glow of the setting sun-we HIGHLY recommend making room for this for sure!
Love at first sight.
A first look gives you the opportunity to experience an intimate moment together without all of the pressure of everybody watching you…this is when genuine emotions shine through and are captured.

An urban wedding in the heart of Edmonton, AB.
We just had the pleasure of capturing Emma & Garrett’s BIG day in downtown Edmonton and it was filled with every possible positive element: anticipation, triumph, excitement, wonder, laughter & a whole lotta love and we are SO thankful to have had the pleasure to get to know them as well as their families and friends better!
Winter Wonderland!
So here we are…spriiiing? It’s got to be spring hasn’t it?! Hmm…feel like I’ve fallen for this before!!
We love to shooting family photo sessions at our clients homes and have had the pleasure of shooting at some beautiful homes and acreages, but this heritage log cabin was so unique and teaming with character we jumped at the opportunity to capture some memories here…
Autumnal Amber
“Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful.”-Lisa Weedn,
Autumn love story in Edmonton, Alberta.
Okay so I know there is a pattern starting to develop with starting my blog posts by talking about the weather, but seriously!!! Anyone that ventured outside in central Alberta this week could have experienced slush, roads literally like ice rinks (hilarious), +5, sunshine, rain, blizzard or heavy snow, -32…or all of the above! Luckily in Peak & Prairie blog-land we are still very much in fall, which was stunning and the busiest season to-date for our young business…
A Rustic Wedding at The Barn at Lions Garden Estate, East of Edmonton, Alberta.
This day was not only filled with an abundance of joy and laughter from beginning to end, but also with emotion, from dad’s first look at his ‘petite fille’ (little girl) where there was not a dry eye in the house, myself included (as this was a moment that I will never have the pleasure to experience myself) to very sweet vows which were shared intimately between only them, both of which will remain two of my all-time favourite moments and we are both honoured to have had the opportunity (and pleasure) to be able to capture for them for years to come!
Botanical Wedding Bliss at the Muttart Conservatory, Edmonton, Alberta.

Take exotic plants, colourful flowers, diffused sunlight pouring through iconic glass pyramids…add two people as sweet and absolutely in love as Doris and Logan, surround them with their nearest and dearest and you have a recipe for a really memorable, intimate wedding…
Country wedding in Ardrossan, Alberta
They had plans for a big wedding, but 2020 had other ideas and they down-sized their original plans, deciding to have their big day on the family acreage with just their nearest and dearest, saving the big party for another day.
