Golden or Blue Hour

Some of the best bride & groom portraits are made at golden hour, when the land is wrapped in an incredible warm glow of the setting sun-we HIGHLY recommend making room for this for sure!

All I ever wanted was to dream another sunset with you.
— Mayday Parade

Sometimes you get wrapped up in the days festivities and with your guests and aren’t able to do golden hour but did you know that there is another option?

As long as skies are relatively clear (or sometimes mostly cloudy), after the sunset has fallen over the horizon-there is a brief but impactful window where the residual light is incredible…it is known as Blue hour.

Although it doesn’t refer to the amount of time you have-golden and blue hour can make for some truly incredible moments that transform from a warm, golden glow to softer, extremely delicate and light in a way that seems too perfect for this world.

The sun is up, the sky is blue: It’s beautiful, and so are you.
— John Lennon

Sometimes everything aligns perfectly and you are able to have a bit of each=the best of both worlds (yay)!

Bonus: This time (whatever the light) will give you the opportunity to escape briefly for some quality one-on-one time with your love.

If this is something which is right up your alley (or down your street for you Brits) then let’s work this into your wedding day! Not only will they look fantastic in your gallery but you will NOT regret it!
