A lovely backyard wedding in Olds, Alberta.
“We don’t meet beautiful loving souls by accident or chance, they are meant to cross our paths for a reason, especially those we have a mental attraction, wild chemistry, and a deep soul connection with.”
— Simona
An amazingly lively wedding at The Whitewood Barn-Millet, Alberta.
Den Joy & Franz are a wonderful couple who found their way back to one another after being separated. They are a prime example that two souls that belong to each other will always find their way back to one another and it. is. absolutely. beautiful.
A lovely wild country wedding-Boyle, Alberta.
Long grasses, horses, wildflowers and trees all beneath endless prairie clouds as far as the eye could see-we are so thankful to have had the opportunity for the experience itself-never mind the chance to capture their beautiful day! The weather conditions were absolutely perfect.
An urban wedding in the heart of Edmonton, AB.
We just had the pleasure of capturing Emma & Garrett’s BIG day in downtown Edmonton and it was filled with every possible positive element: anticipation, triumph, excitement, wonder, laughter & a whole lotta love and we are SO thankful to have had the pleasure to get to know them as well as their families and friends better!
Warmth and Wonder
We strongly encourage taking advantage of this season by commemorating it with some wonderful memories, whether it is a solo thing, you’d like to share some quality time with your love enjoying something that you love or get the whole family involved…or even a surprise proposal or engagement session. If you’d like to do a campfire session and roast some s’mores or enjoy a cuppa…or just frolic in the foliage-go for it! We. Are. There.
The Prairie Willow Co.
Shelby not only brings professionalism to the table in everything she does but also brings an awesome sense of humour (and a sense of sarcasm)-this is what I personally love the most about her. (Bonus!)
Whether you are looking for flowers for birthdays, special occasions, graduation, weddings or just because-Shelby is your girl! We HIGHLY recommend her for all of your floral needs!
A beautifully sweet, rustic spring wedding at The Whitewood Barn, Millet, Alberta.
‘Should this be the last thing I see, I want you to know it’s enough for me, ‘cause all that you are is all that I’ll ever need.’ -Ed Sheeran/Tenerife Sea
Winter Wonderland!
So here we are…spriiiing? It’s got to be spring hasn’t it?! Hmm…feel like I’ve fallen for this before!!
We love to shooting family photo sessions at our clients homes and have had the pleasure of shooting at some beautiful homes and acreages, but this heritage log cabin was so unique and teaming with character we jumped at the opportunity to capture some memories here…
Autumnal Amber
“Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful.”-Lisa Weedn,
Autumn love story in Edmonton, Alberta.
Okay so I know there is a pattern starting to develop with starting my blog posts by talking about the weather, but seriously!!! Anyone that ventured outside in central Alberta this week could have experienced slush, roads literally like ice rinks (hilarious), +5, sunshine, rain, blizzard or heavy snow, -32…or all of the above! Luckily in Peak & Prairie blog-land we are still very much in fall, which was stunning and the busiest season to-date for our young business…
A Rustic Wedding at The Barn at Lions Garden Estate, East of Edmonton, Alberta.
This day was not only filled with an abundance of joy and laughter from beginning to end, but also with emotion, from dad’s first look at his ‘petite fille’ (little girl) where there was not a dry eye in the house, myself included (as this was a moment that I will never have the pleasure to experience myself) to very sweet vows which were shared intimately between only them, both of which will remain two of my all-time favourite moments and we are both honoured to have had the opportunity (and pleasure) to be able to capture for them for years to come!
Botanical Wedding Bliss at the Muttart Conservatory, Edmonton, Alberta.
WOW! Okay we’re just gonna kick right off with what a BEAUTIFUL place to tie the knot!
Take exotic plants, colourful flowers, diffused sunlight pouring through iconic glass pyramids…add two people as sweet and absolutely in love as Doris and Logan, surround them with their nearest and dearest and you have a recipe for a really memorable, intimate wedding…
A Beautiful Summer Wedding at Obsidian Ridge-Tofield, Alberta.
This wedding was packed with sweet moments, especially during the speeches which were so heartfelt and genuine. It really was a pleasure to be there to photograph a couple who have found so much happiness together. In our consultation Zonia had told us about their mutual friend who brought them together and had since sadly passed. They remembered her during the first dance, which was a really touching moment and capped off a day spent in beautiful surroundings, filled with love and laughter.
Country wedding in Ardrossan, Alberta
They had plans for a big wedding, but 2020 had other ideas and they down-sized their original plans, deciding to have their big day on the family acreage with just their nearest and dearest, saving the big party for another day.
Lipstick & Cowboy Boots
So it’s been a little while since I last blogged, BUT we have a good excuse!! We have been thrilled (and pleasantly surprised!) to be so busy since we launched our website in May 2021, honestly our website and social just went right on the back-burner.
New Beginnings
Ok…So it looks like this is our first blog post! We’ve got to get something on here before we launch the site and it’s pretty easy to pick a subject-the one thing that is pretty much consuming our lives right now (aside from the kids obviously) and is terrifying and hugely exciting in equal parts; starting our photography business!
