Fairytale Woodland Golden Hour Engagement Session, Lindbrook, Alberta

Engagement sessions are all about timing. Scheduling the session to give yourselves the best chance of beautiful, soft, light means scheduling as close to sunset as possible. That can be tricky this time of year- as I write this sunset is past 10pm, but in our opinion it’s totally worth it the late finish!

Our lovely couple are getting married on there acreage East of Sherwood Park, Edmonton, later this summer. One of the biggest reasons we love for wedding clients to take us up on the complimentary engagement session is because it gives us a chance to get to know each other a little and helps you feel more comfortable in front of the camera on their big day. The less time feeling awkward or unsure on the biggest day of your lives the better! These guys took to it so quickly and followed all our silly prompts and ideas and we’re thrilled with the results!

The Engagement session that comes with our all-day ‘Peak Collection’ comes with an optional second location, so we headed up the road to a lesser-known spot in Beaverhills whee we knew there was some lovely white cherry-blossom on display and spent the second part of the engagement session there.

The Beaverhills area East of Edmonton has so many little spots like this; lush forest trails and beaver ponds, tons of greenery, hardly any people even at the busier times. Time it right and it makes for a magical, dreamy backdrop for a photo session of any kind,

Here’s some more of our faves below - we’re so looking forward to the big day!
