A wonderfully windswept wedding in Nordegg, AB.

Ieasha & Keaton

We met Ieasha & Keaton for a consultation in autumn before they re-opened seating during covid. We froze our butts off outside of Starbucks while getting to know each other better. We all shivered (except Keaton), we laughed, we had a little cry and laughed some more-we went through every emotion in a short timespan that’s for sure!

We hit it off right off the bat and we knew that this was going to be a special one. It most definitely was.

We had the pleasure of doing their engagement shoot and meeting their little pups Ada and Beau. We always recommend bringing anything that is special or meaningful to you-especially your little furry family and we always suggest an engagement session prior to your big day not only so you have a better idea of who we are and how we work but to help you become more comfortable in front of the camera…their engagement shoot was FUN-they have an amazing connection!

On the big day Alex and I split up and went to separate airbnb’s where our bride and groom were getting ready-they were in Nordegg so you just knew that it was going to be a beautiful place and it absolutely was a beautiful day!

I not only thoroughly enjoyed putting together the details but I was honoured. Ieasha had a vision, therefore I had a goal (challenge accepted!) and was able to express my creativity.

Ada & Beau tried so hard to get in on the action-they’re too cute!

On the boys side of things, Alex was busy capturing the details, Keaton expressing his love for his bride-to-be in writing and some really great moments between his niece & nephew, him and his best man and him and his father.

These little moments are what we love and why we love being wedding photographers.

After the finishing touches on her dress, Ieasha took her mom aside and revealed an amazing special surprise which she had in store and oh boy was it ever heartfelt and emotional-hit ya right in the feels-it was very sweet!

She had her mum put a bracelet on her wrist, then revealed that it was not only custom-made but one which she had made with her late father’s work shirt. It gives me goosebumps in the best way and makes me tear up just thinking about that powerfully beautiful moment that they shared together. Her dad was most definitely there with them-you could just feel it in the air! It was so beautiful.

We then made our way to Abraham Cove, where the ceremony took place. The water was a spectacular glacial blue and the backdrop of the mountains was layered due to the smoke from the forest fires and it was a beautiful sight…but pale in comparison to the bride-she was stunning!

After a lovely windswept ceremony, we made our way to Crescent Falls to enjoy stunning and familiar scenery with the wedding party and to get some bride & groom portraits-it did not disappoint! This is a beautiful place to visit any time of the year and it’s family friendly!

After having a blast at Crescent Falls, we made our way to the hall in Nordegg to join everybody for the evening festivities!

There were speeches, a slideshow dedicated to dad, then one telling the story of Ieasha & Keaton from the very beginning, all the way up to their wedding day, a wonderful first dance and home-cooked meal (this bride was literally in the kitchen!) and a bunch of things in between, all the while surrounded by so much love and laughter!

We had a chance to steal them away for golden hour, which was magical and got to enjoy a sparkler exit and champagne toast with all of their loved ones, ending our day underneath the moon.

These two are most definitely made for each other!

Ieasha & Keaton, we are so happy that you guys chose us to be a part of your story!

We wish you a lifetime of adventure, happiness and endless love beneath moonlit skies.

-Peggy & Alex
