We officially kicked off our 2022 Wedding season at Whitewood Barn in celebration of Selena & Eddy!
We were initially expecting rain and 50 km/hr winds, which turned into overcast and wind to partly sunny and rain to partly cloudy…but on the day that was all but a worst case scenario-as it turned out-it was warm and sunny with the occasional cloud-it became an absolutely perfect day AND we continue our perfect weather streak (12 weddings and counting) no big deal.
This is a day that we have been anticipating for nearly an entire year not only because it was our first official 2022 wedding but also because these two are just the sweetest together…plus check out the venue-it’s b-e-a-utiful!
Chris & Jeff were amazing! They made Selena & Eddy’s day absolutely seamless-Chris was there for any and all needs-she was a runner of anything and everything, she made sure that everybody was hydrated and happy and Jeff kept everything maintained and in tip top shape-they made all of their (hands-on) hard work look relatively easy and made the day stress-free…couldn’t have asked for better!
The anticipation.
The anticipation was apparent as these two have waited so long for this moment.
We decided to capture a first touch and first look prior to the ceremony. We like photos prior to the ceremony/before the BIG event, after the ceremony for family formals as well as wedding party and steal the bride and groom away for a golden hour session later on because it helps break up your day, makes it much more relaxing and gives you the opportunity to enjoy your time with your guests!
The first look.
The first look is so important-it can completely remove the nervous aspect from your day, allowing more room for the excitement of the ceremony! It can also be beneficial as it is a private moment between the bride and the groom so if the emotions flow-let them-it’s just you two.
The Littles.
We love capturing the littles…and having four ourselves we completely understand the importance of naps and keeping a schedule. This is why we work around you-if they are most happy in the ie. early afternoon-let’s take advantage and get photos before the opportunity passes.
Family is everything.

The details.
I love a good detail shot not only because I appreciate the artistic value in creating an image but because I value everything that goes into it. ‘Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue.’, although this phrase has changed over time-the meaning behind it still remains…the importance of wearing your partner’s nan’s pearl earrings, your grandmother’s necklace-these are things which embody them (or their spirit) and to have a part of them to carry with you on one of the most important days of your life is a beautiful thing.
We make sure that we cover our bases throughout the entire day especially the ceremony-we like to get a good mix of the traditional and candid shots, the expected and the unexpected-you get to marry your partner for life and we love every moment of it!
We are totally all for a first kiss shot, in whatever form that may be!
Some people prefer a completely spontaneous approach while others a bit of planning, regardless of which way-we aim to capture that genuine connection between you two (and the reactions of your guests)!
The wedding party.
Your girls and your boys are there for you through thick and thin and got your back no matter what.
Aside from the normal, sweet wedding party photos our goal is to capture your relationships/friendships regardless of how shy or sweet or funny (or cheesy) that may be. We want you to feel comfortable enough to be yourself…and allow us to freeze these little moments in time that you can look back on years down the road and laugh (or sometimes cry) but most of all that you will forever cherish.
We want you to have FUN with this one so, if you’ve got a plan-let us know and we’ll make it happen or on the day of-if there is anything that you’d like to do-let’s wing it…we are up for anything!
